We are a coalition who represent live musical artists in Sacramento, CA. We strive for a unified voice among live musical artists to increase funding and expand city support for live music.

"The Coalition advocates for the city to create, and direct, meaningful investments into Sacramento's independent, live musical arts. We favor using evidence-based decision making to create policy which nurtures the independent live music economy, while eliminating barriers which stifle it."
2. Embracing Best Practices as a Model
Learn from good examples of comparable cities that have world-class live music scenes. We want to reimagine, and model, our effective city entertainment policies to deliver a vibrant, thriving live music economy that works for everyone (not just Live Nation).
3. Ditching Bad Policy: Evidence-Based Reforms
Utilizing empirical data to find and re-think outdated laws, or stifling regulations, which create a barrier for musicians, venues, and fans. Rethink how the city manages entertainment parking, permits, entertainment districts and fee waivers.
4. Open Up Investment in Independent Live Music
Find, create, and direct public funding to deliver meaningful, positive impact for live music workers (and support staff in the live music economy). We can move towards initiatives to deliver direct, positive, and meaningful economic impact for live music workers, performing artists, venues, and local music events.
5. Focus on Independent Live Music
We champion the independent venues, and live artists who are the bedrock of the music scene. Plenty of representation exists for big-moneyed interests, while the culture that surrounds us is left without a voice.
